I just put this together from a dive we did at Dutch Springs, PA. The day was over cast and not a lot of sun light. I am using the EOM housing and 2 sola 1200's. We took a bunch of newly certified divers on a little tour. Enjoy.

Nice little edit there, is this shot in r2 or r3? The lights are a definate help inside the enclosed areas.

Would you be able to share your file export settings when uploading to youtube, I get good quality on vimeo but everything ive tried on youtube always gets badly recompressed after I send it yet your video still seems to look pretty good quality wise here.

Great training aid for those new divers. We could all use a "view from the other side" sometimes to fix things like buoyancy and trim.
The video may help them along, where sometimes fellow newbies don't tell you.

Marty it is shot in R3 (720 60fps). As for my settings I use Sony Vegas Studio HD10 Platinum and there is a button to up load it right to YT and I click it to be the highest render quality. So I am not realy sure what the program does to it. I know it is a large file at about 340megs when uploaded.

Yes this is a great training aid for the new divers. I wish I would have had someone video me when I first started and gave me pointers. Photos & Video are worth more than just telling someone how they look while diving.

Wow.... Underwater dogpaddling.

Hang on to the video and show it to them again in a couple years. They should get quite a kick out of it. ;)

Great video (liked the music as well)... Looks like everyone had a fabulous time (better than me -- I was landlocked this weekend).
I agree with the "training aid" aspect...

Also looked like someone had a Mares Superchannel sale!

BKP most all were in rental gear and that is what our shop uses. I dont think I ever saw so much Underwater dogpaddling. I am sure if they do see this video a few years from now they will get a kick out of it. Was that the way I used to dive?

Nice video! I am considering a GoPro for an upcoming trip to Cozumel. I like the idea of a head mount. Is a red filter an option? GoPro says that the curved lens causes blurring on the perimeter and that flat lens will be available. Any tips or info? Thanks!

I'm not sure about the other after market housing options but I know that if you buy the house from About Our Products you have the option of purchasing a red filter. I haven't tried any of the colored filters but I have Snake River's underwater housing/flat lens and it is a must have for diving with the gopro. Have fun in Cozumel!

Thanks adobe preiemere has a youtube preset but its pretty bad, 25fps 4-8mbps h264 so I use higher data rates at 30p most of the time tried upping at 60p to youtube but didnt I think it didnt make any real difference to the final video. I use the same settings for vimeo and it looks very close to what I send but youtube goes over it with a butchers knife I think during the re-encoding process.

Do you get much life in the quarries there? And are these wrecks just ilegal dumps or have they been put in for training purposes. Looks like a pretty cool setup for teaching wreck diving I think, the vis is pretty much the same as any open water wrecks Ive been in.
