Good place for frugal, single diver?

Fiesta Americana might be a good choice, it is south of town (close to the reefs), dive shop on site and they offer AI packages. The rooms are nice, the beds comfortable and the A/C works well.

when i am on a budget, i usually stay at aqua safari inn. $40, per nt as many people as you want in room. good ac, nice staff. downtown, across the street from water. easy walk to many fine inexpensive restaurants. i do not try to save on diving. that is what i go for so i dive with aldora. from scc walk north about 15 min and you will be near aqua safari.
a friend stays at pepetita and is very happy with it. may be a little less $ than aqua.
my thinking is to save on room and meals but not on diving.
