Just east of Paradise Cove is Escondido Beach. Usually very little in the way of surf, easy sand entry, straight out and to the west is the reef.

A little further is Corral Canyon Beach. Sand and Rock entry to the right of the stream and out to the south west to the reef.

A little further is Malibu Road. Enter at Webb Way and go up to the beach access. there are two entries to a really nice close in beach. Also generally very little surf and not much of a surface swim.

Point Dume has currents and a long surface swim -- a more experienced dive. The lifeguards generally have 30 to 40 divers that they drag back through the current in a season.

Paradise Cove has a huge parking tax and not much of a reef.

When the vis is good, nothing beats el Matador and la Pescador beaches. But that only happens a couple of times a year and it is a long hike back up from a 2' vis dive.

The vis has been very poor in Malibu the past few months. This week it was about 5'-8' with a lot of surge. Watch the board and you will see reports on it.
