Wow, That's a first Debbie. So far your the first to say they made your hands hot. I wonder if it's maybe that they fit to tight? Even though I would have thought it would have made them colder from poor circ. Oh well, live and learn. We are going to produce new molds for women sizes as soon as I return from Fl. I'm sure you will like them much better if they fit you right. I'll make sure you get a pair of those if you will help remind me in a few weeks.

Thanks for review

the gloves provide "NO" thermal protection ...i guess you missed the part about me getting a larger pair from roy and cutting off the tips ..they fit great over my 5 mm gloves ..

Ahh come on! You know those fins drives this group crazy!

But, they do work great for me!:D

What about sling shot fins!!

You know, I think I actually get more crap for using jet fins than I've ever heard split finners get. Well in real life... not on the interwebs.

Roy, I think that a major reason my hands were so hot is because no water could enter. I'm going to cut the fingertips off and give them another try, that should help.

As I said, the woman on the dive boat who works with HSA divers thought they were the bomb for handicapped divers!

Roy, thanks again for the opportunity to try your product and provide constructive input. I would indeed like to try a slightly larger pair of them.

People give me crap about wearing pink fins until they dive with me...they are white underwater and visible from quite a distance. They are especially visible during night dives. And...no man is going to mistake them for his! :rofl3:

Oh, I get crap for having a GIANT batman sticker on the back of my tanks... until they can figure out who I am from 40 feet away!!

Ok,

I guess I should get in there somewhere.

I've just finished reading the last 10 pages that seemed to happen over night. I would like to thank RJP and the other yahoo for making this such a hot thread. Where do I send the check? I would also like to thank the the defenders of this product, even those of you who have not yet tried them. Good show!

This isn't the first product I have designed or marketed. So I know a little bit about it. You would offer a little credibility to your comments RJP by telling us something you have designed and marketed on your own. Or are you just one of those good lookin jocks that set around in focus groups all day trying to find out what color or words get people all warm and fuzzy.

I'm not a college educated "marketing expert" but like the divers on this forum have expressed time and time again, I know when I like something and when I don't. I know when I get value from something and when I don't. And I don't need an expert marketing specialist to help me with those decisions.

If I had no confidence in my product and just wanted to make a buck selling something useless I would have hired your company to help me accomplish that. We could have designed real shiny packaging and used focus groups to help us understand what words make stupid people by useless nonsense.

Instead, I came to a place where the "targets" as you refer to them, are abundant. Then I offered them FREE, to individual thinkers to try for themselves. All I asked from them in return was their honest opinions. I know, a real marketing "expert" would have made sure he got all of their personal info so he could sell it to other marketing companies and so forth. Not the way I roll.
A real expert would never have done something so stupid as to offer their product up for un-edited public scrutiny. That is not the way they teach it in MARKETING college.

I have, in the only way I know how, explained the "possible" benifits from wearing this glove. It's as simple as a stump. You get it or you don't. Maybe I'll hire your company later to re-package it and market it (at double the price tag) to those of you who don't get it.

This has been way more fun than I thought it would be.

And at the end of the day...I THINK SOMEONE'S JEEEEALOOOOUS!

sorry could not let this one go.:D

Roy,

At the end of the day, in my humble opinion, you will have enough of a market for these that they will sell and I doubt it will ruin recreational scuba.

I didn't try the Darkfins with my Drysuit this weekend, decided that my first dive in the Drysuit would be distraction enough and I was right on that call (always had split fins but bought a pair of SP Jet Fins for the DS, I didn't expect such a difference in the effort required without the split!).

Looking closely at them though I wonder it you can eliminate the texture around the wrists. I'm a little worried that it might allow leakage if tucked into the wrist seal. I guess I could lay them over the seal. We'll see next time I dive.

And at the end of the day...I THINK SOMEONE'S JEEEEALOOOOUS!

At the end of my day, someone will be missing a pair of these gloves if they should happen to dislodge my mask or reg with their arm flailing. Okay, probably not.....

I also see these gloves as a gear solution to a skills issue. As long as that choice has no impact on me, have at it. If I saw someone donning these gloves pre-dive, I have to admit I'd mentally register a strike against that person.
