As for trying them, my understanding is they provide little in the way of thermal protection. Bottom temps here in NJ are in the 50's currently. Can't see how I can reasonably expect to use them. Can you confirm thickness of the gloves?
Why are you even in this thread? Don't you have anything better to do with your time?
And of course there are these people

LOVE IT!!! :rofl3:

Debby, Sometimes it's hard to separate genuine curiosity from arrogance.

Around here it seems that if you're "curious" while wearing jet fins and BP/W you're automatically branded as arrogant.

:crafty:

RJP's questions, from a marketing perspective were right on but sometimes it was hard to determine if he really wanted an answer or an argument, but I enjoyed the responses anyway.

Yeah, I get that a lot...

:D

Any of the nay-sayers could have simply gone to the Darkfin website to get the benefits right from Roy himself.

So again, I ask a reasonable - and serious - question (what type of thermal protection if any do the gloves provide) but instead of getting a reasonable answer (or ANY answer at all) I'm met with more nonsense.

Same goes if you use split fins, you are summarily tossed into the bottom dwelling silt-up crowd.:crafty:

I would hope that you know how to visit the company website and get your own answers. I am a librarian, but I am not YOUR personal librarian. I believe that you already know the answer, anyway. Your nonsense is getting very, very old. You have no personal interest in these gloves. Why don't you go and enjoy some of the other parts of ScubaBoard that do relate to your personal diving?

I am interested in these because I tried them and would like to see them incorporate some of the suggestions I made. Why are you here? Do you have nothing better to do with your time?

To answer your question about Thermal Protection, they provide no thermal protection. Roy has stated that he's developing a thermal liner for them.

I would agree with you that they would not serve you well in the clod waters of you home diving.

This is really fun.

At least that's not as bad as "flip up" fins!

:eyebrow:

Ahh come on! You know those fins drives this group crazy!

But, they do work great for me!:D
