Again, I don't doubt that there are benefits. I'd just like someone to enumerate them. More thrust isn't one.

I haven't tried them so I can not comment with certainty (unlike others here) but I bet the gloved hands produce better maneuverability when needed, compared to legs / fins.

LOL, and you can also retain a ton of CO2 and burn through your gas in no time. Sounds like fun.
Better maneuverability with your hands? Perhaps, but I don't have a problem stopping, turning, going forward or backward with my fins as is.
If you want to waste gas and get shorter dives by reducing your efficiency in the water, go for it. Some people like hanging out on the boat more than under the water. That's cool, too.
