i just bought a genesis axis regulator. are genesis regs good and reliable?

They are ok... nothing terrible, and nothing great... Just a decent basic reg. And Genesis does not make an Axis... you either got a Genesis Atlas, or a Mares Axis...

Genesis regs do OK by me... though the exhasut baffle on some of their lower priced units has a hard time staying in place! 
It is correct that Genesis does not make the Axis any longer, but they used too. (Actually made by another company and sold by Genesis) Here is a link to a picture of the Genesis Axis Axis Picture
