Hi,
1st time poster, long time lurker :).

I have an old Genesis React Pro console dive computer circa 2006 that I've used for many years. After changing the battery, I'm trying to set the date on it but the year only goes to 2017 before it loops back to 2000.

Anyone encountered this before? Or is this a "feature" to obsolete the device?

Thanks.

Nevermind, kind of.... I was able to use the old genesis software interface to update the date/year. But for whatever reason, can't go beyond 2017 on the device itself.

Built in obsolescence. Time to upgrade in their opinion.

I also have an older Genesis React Pro and after changing the battery I had the same experience with the date stopping at 2017. I ended up selecting 2014 and I'll just add 10 years in my log. I agree, likely built in absolescence.
