James, we all know what really happened here.

Rob says some DIR divers closet smoke, others refute this saying that if they smoke, they aren't DIR.

Rob says "Okay, I'll rephrase that...I know a few GUE trained divers that are smokers. And I also know of GUE trained divers on the Wakulla project that smoked...at Ed Ball State Park...during projects...So I guess the WKPP does allow non-DIR divers to dive with them..."

And when asked for names, the truth came out. There aren't any names, just more S#17 talking and dancing around the issue from someone who doesn't know what they're talking about.

Ridiculous. Put up or shut up, Rob. If you want to debate the issue, thats fine, and its not for this thread. But if you want to S#17 talk an organization, bring something real to the table.

Are you talking about smoking? Ridiculous. When I was smoking, and especially when I was quitting (had my last cigarette Oct 31, 1987), the one thing I could do that would absolutely, positively, reliably, always, 100% of the time keep my mind completely off any thought of smoking was to be underwater.

I wouldn't hire a smoker knowingly, let alone do a big dive with one. When I've worked with them in the past they're good for about an hour, then they get distracted and watch the clock for a smoke break. Certainly not someone I would want to do a big dive with.

That being said, I would gladly do a recreational dive with them while quitting.
