I understand Ben had his own personal escort through the cave on several occassions.
Name? You called "cards on the table."
Edit - better yet - Name and Source?

Yes...I read that post as well. Still does NOT prove it was Ben's lock. Need to know what log book really says. The existence of the second lock was noticed by at least one other diver PRIOR to the incident, I also want to say that it was either shown or mentioned in one of deepswim's videos.
Mat's probably eating wings at a post-dive debriefing right now, so we may have to wait a bit before he checks in.

Would the name mean anything to you? I am waiting for others to respond who know what I am talking about.
It was reported to the sheriff by the "worker" in question. Or so I have heard from those who were on the scene. Worker reluctantly fessed up after a few days.Care to share what you have heard about "Ben's first few times of 'access' through the gate"?
And why should it have more or less credence than other heresay on this thread?
How do you define "definitively corroborated" in this context? IIRC more than one diver claims to have seen the lock, and despite initial confusion, all Vortex keys to the "official" lock were accounted for.

Guess I can't say if I don't know the name!
Have it your way - you asked for "cards on the table."
Don't lay yours down, but don't expect to see them from others.
Off to work now.
Am I correct that you have heard a few things related by those who were on the scene, and chose to belive them. And that you have read things posted by others who were on the scene and chose to dispute them?
Please correct this, because this is how it currently appears - at least to me, and I suspect to others.
It has been reported and further misread elsewhere that YOU claimed to have read these things in his log book.
I think that taking the word of this "worker" at this point is useless information. Especially, considering the chatter about what role this "worker" played in breaching the gate.
I still think a grave disservice occurred in the allegations against the character of this diver from the very beginning. And now the dots of erroneous information are being connected. At least for me they are.
Sorry if this offends anyone...but I think all the cards need to be laid on the table.
I thought several divers confirmed the placement of a private lock on one of the chains that made up the "hinge" for the grate.
