Calling all Great Lakes Wreckers!

Please help keep an eye / ear out for our stolen gear!

While putting on my drysuit across the street from the Union Lake boat ramp in Commerce Twp, MI this morning, my full set up and a buddy's were stolen. So far we've reported it to the local Sherriff's office and the closest LDS. After finishing the stolen property reports with model #s, serial #s and dollar values we'll be faxing them to several other LDSs in the area.

My set up included:

o Faber Low Pressure steel 95 - white
o Transpac II
o Rec wings
o Scubapro MK15 and G250 regulator set up
o Sherwood octopus
o Suunto two sided dive console
o Suunto Solution computer
o Suunto Companion computer
o Suunto compass
o UK C4 back up light - bright pink

Buddy's set up included:

o High Pressure steel 100
o Scubapro reg and gauge set up
o Pony with Scubapro reg set
o I believe both reg sets are G250-M10s (with edit later)
o Brand new Scubapro BC (I'll edit later with model)
o Air2

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Words of encouragement, too!

Paula

Wow that is not a good thing. I guess the first place to start looking for them would be Ebay cause I doubt another diver would have taken them to use for themself so it is someone looking for a quick buck.

Paula, sorry to hear of your lose. That sucks!

I'll keep an eye out for you - stay hopefull!

Paula,

Sorry to hear about your gear.

I agree, keep an eye on Ebay.

I'd suggest also keeping a watch on local pawn shops and resale shops in the area like shops like Play It Again Sports.

Good luck. I do hope your gear is found.

CAPT HOOK:
Agree, having all your gear stolen sucks.

A question - you both went across the street to change?

Dang, I agree that someone stealing your gear is rather unfortunate...I hope you find your things quickly...

I typically do not let my stuff remain unguarded for more than a few seconds at most.

Good luck!

hope you find it quickly paula.

Keep an eye on ebay, and blow them off at the knees if you find the B#!%%S!

That sucks, I'll keep my eyes open too. There are a couple of pawn shops I know about and I'll make a point of stopping in this week to check. Do you have theft insurance for your dive equipment?

That's awful, Paula. I'll keep an eye out here, too!

That has to be the lowest thing I've read here. I really hope you find the SOB and your gear. I agree about keeping an eye on Ebay.
That does bring up a good point. I need to record all of that information from my own gear.
I'd say sorry to hear about your loss but it wasn't exactly a loss. It was a theft. Good luck

Joe
