I hear you cannot wear madras shorts and polo shirts anymore on the island without it being confused for a gang outfit. What has life come to when you can no longer feel safe in an affluent community.

Bus (by the way I work with gang members in Detroit, I passed the original story around to my kids and they laughed)

I'm sorry, but those three white kids would last about 30 seconds after the door closed in the Bridgeport CT jail. It should be much less at the Central LA lock ups.

But I would have thought that the gangs on Catalina would be much more like these guys, only on golf carts:

so long as the gangs don't get their hands on bikes...it looks like the high cost of fuel has caused drive-bys have to become ride-bys in la (2 shot in bicycle drive-by outside South Los Angeles house - Los Angeles Times)
