Was it canceled because the yacht you were going aboard with doesn't have a diving permit? Was in your itinerary Darwin & Wolf?

We booked our liveaboard to the Galapagos (including Darwin and Wolf) a year ago. We are scheduled for October 3rd 2007 aboard the Lammerlaw. Our tour operator checked with the operator in Galapagos on a regular basis but no cancellations are done yet. Our operator send an email yesterday asking for an official statement about the Lammerlaw. If I receive it, I will post it here.

Fingers crossed...

Yeah, let's hope so...we are slated to leave this Saturday for Ecuador...still waiting on the official word. This certainly has been one very high-stress month, thankfully only a few more days to go!

Yes I was booked for Nemo/Latin Tours and they do include D/W in their trips. Our itinerary was custom made, with extra time there.

Permit: they had the same most boats have (as it has been for quite a long time!)

The trip was cancelled because there is not much hope to see different outcomes to this matter, and most of all, even if some decision comes, nobody can guarantee it will last long enough. A group of brazilians was in the begining of their trip when it all began. They were grounded, not being able to dive and :11: decided to come back. That would be really bad!

Othe issue: some crue and instructors/dive masters are already going away (a friend of mine is on that list).

Hope you guys get better luck!! We´re currently trying to find some alternate destination, only 15 days from travelling.

Two weeks and counting down until my Deep Blue ten day booking. Ken at Galapagos Adventures has been silent for some time indicating that negotiations are not going well. At this point I just want to know one way or the other. Many of us have vacations planned far in advance and need to make alternative holiday arrangements in the event Galapagos isnt going to be possible. If the trip doesnt include Wolf and Darwin my expectation is that the entire trip should be cancelled.
