You can do it, just relax and free your mind.... :14:
Uh-Oh... is it time to reach out with my feelings... seeking that Fundamental Force????

I guess it does kind of bind this little universe together

First thing I'm doing... is labelling the trash can nearest the dive/practice site:

"Deposit Ego Here"
"Instructional Staff is Not Responsible
for the safety of Ego brought
with you into the water"
-Thank you

Then, let the fun(dies) begin!

T minus 7 days . . . .
Thanks for all the fun!

Claudette, that's hysterical, and I'm tempted to hijack your idea for my own class . . . or better, "Ego brought with you into the water will be confiscated and destroyed."

Mixdiver, I'm just trying to stop laughing long enough to look like I'm getting some work done....
Brilliant!! Totally Brilliant!! Needs to be developed into one of many appendices in the fundies workbook. You, TSandM, and RickI will rock the house!
Thanks,
Claudette

T minus 9 days to Fundy Launch.

He is a good writer. And a good diver! And a good guy!

Which is why I started noticing, I've got all these little bad habits... And last night I started trying to do it right. Like, I usually clip off everything on my right D ring with my left hand - it's second nature, I don't even think about it, and I can hit the ring every time. So, last night I decided to use only my right hand in prep for the class. And of course, I can't hit the ring, and I feel clumsy and uncoordinated and I'm hitting my backup light, my backup reg hose, and then finally clipping off to the backup light clip instead of the ring. Augh!

Lot's of little things like that to un-learn, stuff I won't even know until I get to the class.

I'm wondering, why oh why didn't I take this class earlier like TSandM??

The video.

It's not going to be pretty...

I would advise against trying to "change" anything at this point. Wait for the instructor to see where you are currently at, and let him show you how to best address any remedial changes you need to make.

It will ultimately be more efficient that way ...

THAT's perfect!! We're shamelessly hijacking Ricks thread, mais, Laissez les bons temps ROULEZ!!

I'm listening carefully and trying not to change anything I'm doing in the water right now... this is "me" at this stage, so I'm making my peace with it!

My underwater meditation right now: (I wonder if my dive buddies can see my lips moving???)

Let go of self-justification of any skill I now possess.

In a couple of weeks, I may be wanting to believe I was never stupid enough to have done it this way :lol3: :ignore:

Prepare to cut the anchor line and step up.:help:

Prepare to serve honorably :D and inspire laughter

TSandM, I'm living for your class reports!!!

We're having little caskets made for our former dive habits. :D

I'm really excited about this class with MHK and Brando. It's going to be lots of fun learning what we need to fix to increase our diving pleasure! This class is going to rock! (Even if we don't... for a while.)

...and so that I'm not accused of being off topic, I will come prepared with food bars and much Gatorade.

Cremation for mine, baby! I love the roar of the little butane torch.... whooomph...

I'm bringing water, apples, red gatorade, balance bars, cashews/almonds (TraderJoe's, 1/2 salt), and a thermos of espresso from that great little coffee joint near Casino Point. And more water!

Bringing $ for a "I Survived the Hermosa" T-shirt... hope it's available in black... 'cause MixDiver says that's essential :D

Gotta be coo', especially when sportin' a P-card :05: (...Provisional... heehee)

P.S. uh... how long is "a while"????

Only exactly as long as it takes my dear, as long as it takes. :14:

Good luck, I can't wait to hear how it goes!
