John go around the cliff at 20 ft and keep pushing west. The crevass can get to 30 ft I belive once inside. Coming out push South and you go down the cliff to 50ft then push North keepinf rocks to left to get back to the goat path.

Be careful at the end becuse it gets very narrow and the surge is greatest there. You dont want to get wedged in or smash against your buddy or the rocks.

The incident BadHat and I were joking about started with us following Chris up to this crevice he is obsessed with. Both of us felt the surge rushing out and we sort of looked at each other with a "no way" expression as Chris tried to lead us in. Instead we just sat there and watched him swim into that narrow spot he is talking about. A few seconds later the next pulse of surge came along and ejected him from the gap, practically tumbling head over heels and right back to us. :D

I know my dives aren't without a trifle of excitement. I have to say I gotta credit Chris and BadHat for spotting this before I did.

I have to say though it does rival the waterslide at the Brownston Quarry. And one of the buddies yesterday insisted he loved the surge LOL.

The all time most exciting one still has to be the Hazard Ave rogue wave incident with you Matt and I.....

Yes but that was the first time I felt completely at the mercy of the bouncer (oh the ocean).

The good ole days lol.

Yeah, I followed Ray (diesel) in there a while ago and was totally freaked out the first time. I'm not fond of enclosed spaces, combine that with the surge...geeesh. Of course, after I lived through it, it was cool.:)

What ever happened to Ray? I haven't seen him on here in ages.

I think Gidds might have got him!:11: :rofl3:

Seriously, I don't know. I actually sent him a pm the other day. No response as of yet.

Yea

I kinda liked reading some of Diesels posts. He had a lot of knowledge to share.

Hope all is well with him.

Chris, glad to hear you had another successful trip to RI. As you know my schedule has been nuts lately but we've definitely gotta get back to Wetherill and I would love to spend alot more time at Beavertail. And I still have yet to see this crevice I've heard so much about. Give me a shout and let me know what your up to in the next few weeks. Oh, finally did a night dive at Stonington and saw what had to be an 8 lb bug. Frickin huge!
