Hi all --

I'm meeting my brother- and sister-in-law in Ft. Walton during the first week of October to take my niece (age 15) diving. She got PADI open water certified this summer; she's doing her AOW dives this weekend. She's planning to come to Texas to visit over Labor Day; hoping to run her through some PPB work while she's here. Her experience up until now has been limited to lakes and quarries.

I'm looking for recommendations for a shop and some dive sites in that area - I'm thinking shallow and safe to start, then maybe we'll work our way to some deeper sites if the week progresses well.

I understand water temps are expected to be in the low to mid 70s while we're there - does that sound accurate?

Many thanks,
Matt
