My wife and I are novice divers (6 and 8 dives). We will be in the Naples/Ft Meyers area in March with one morning to drive. I'm looking for a recommendation for a charter boat operator that will be knowledgeable about the area and will give us the right amount of support. Any ideas?

Has two dive shops in the area of Ft. Myers and what's called Cape Coral. I have not used either for charters but have bought several items from the Ft. Myers store and see dive postings all the time for charters. Do an online search of the Scuba Quests Stores.

You may also consider driving about 2 hours due East to the West Palm/Miami area. The water over there is more clear and you will get a better dive charter for the money.

Scuba Quest's operates 2 boats out of the Sarasota area and 1 in Ft Lauderdale - more info can be found at www.scubaquestusa.com about setting up dives with them.

I checked www.diveclub.org, the website for the local dive club, and found the following listing: http://www.spair-time.com/

Aside from that, maybe Walter could help with some local recommendations, my only experiences prior to my wife recently reintroducing me to water sports was years ago and I had my own boats.
