Hi KiP1865. I noticed it is your first post. Welcome to the board, and thanks for the info.

I just booked to stay at the Econo Lodge in Crystal River. It's only $45, compared to the BW at $93.

I'm beginning to inquire about doing snorkel/diving tour in the morning of Sat. Aug. 26. Several ops show manatee tours only in the winter season, so that kind of sounds like chance of manatee encounter at the end of Aug. would be iffy. But that's the time I am there.


The suggestion of diving combo at Devil's Den/Blue Grotto in the afternoon sounds good. But it might mean leaving my wife at Crystal River while I go diving there. Well, maybe my wife will enjoy it too.
