For California being so beautiful it sure has its share of jacka$$es and halfwits. I don’t even want to visit anymore.

First drought, then mudslides, now fires. I’m certain all these disasters could have easily been prevented with additional state taxes. I’ll contact the governor.
Global warming is all California’s fault, and boy are they making us pay!

Too many years of feel good politics.

Well I got one rigged up on a new DGX wing and I am liking how this feels and how low profile everything is. Now I need to plan a dive to use this on. The whole thing clocks in at under 9 lbs and packs down smaller than my other BC’s. This I probably my new travel setup. I also did the @Akimbo mod and it works nice.

Edit Update
My attempt to weigh was a crude attempt on a kitchen scale. I just did a proper weight with a luggage scale and got 7.3lbs.

“Haven’t seen likes in a while and it would be completely understandable if you would not be able to take orders anymore. However if you are still taking them I’d love to be in the list for a:
- Medium size
- Aluminum
- no Polish
- eventually a bottom tank standoff but i’d refer to your expertise

Read all 69 pages of the original post and 25 of this one and i’d be happy to get one. I’m a patient man.

Best of luck @Eric Sedletzky !”

I have my Freedom Plate (early version) mounted to my Oxy 30 wing. I have used it with double hose and single hose regulators. Being stainless steel it is a little heavier than the VDH plate and of course my Oxy Travel plate. I use the Freedom Plate for lake diving or whenever I have on my 5mm rubber blubber. Not that it is heavy, it is not, but it is a little bit heavier than the VDH plate, and, well, the dive bag is overweight and bulging as it is. And I am getting a new camera rig that is larger and heavier and every ounce counts.

So, uh, yeah, I will be glad to join the list with great patience for an aluminum Freedom Plate, not the super thick one, and pay you lots of money for it.

LOL :).

Feeling like I've got my FP rigged up just about right- very balanced and I've really enjoyed every aspect of diving it!
On the set up I went with harness webbing and hardware from Randy at Piranha Dive Mfg, a VDH 23# wing, and HOG cam bands & crotch strap. XS weight pockets are on the belt, but I haven't needed to use them yet. So far it's been all warm water dives in a shorty & hooded vest- so no additional weight needed.
Snapped this pic on Coz trip last month!

Interesting flipping the 1st like that. I haven't seen that before. Did you do that to address an issue with hose routing?
