UPDATE.
Owner has been found and computer returned.
It wasn't recently lost, in fact it was a year ago today.
I contacted Shearwater with the serial number, they contacted the dealer who sold it and connected us, dealer looked at their records and identified the owner.

Great work. The owner is lucky that it was found by someone conscientious enough to go that effort.
