I lost a camera on a dive on the "City of Washington" about 3 years ago (helping a panicked diver). If you find one floating around...IT'S MINE. Of course, it is probably in Nova Scotia by now...but if ANYONE EVER FINDS a camera in the ATLANTIC...IT'S MINE!

Was told that there is a tank, reg. and bc sitting on the bottom off Venice.
I suppose if I find it, I'll have to give that back too.

I really have no problem returning things. You wouldn't believe the # of weight pouches alone that I have found and carried through a dive. Most are people on the boat that day and are thankful. Older ones I give to the shop.

But a catch bag thats been sitting on the bottom for over a month, I would just write it off to the learning curve and make sure that it's attacted to me the next time.
What are the chances of someone on the boat to be claiming a bag covered with growth?
Next time the contents will be transferred to my bag.
