But what are the voices saying to you?

And it is stupid argument. How can one be for or against a personal choice of style that someone else makes? What business is it of anyone's how a person chooses to dive?

I guess I too would feel pretty cranky all the time if I kept stirring up the bottom and couldn't hold my stops without holding onto a hang bar.
Certainly the full meal deal DIR tech or cave rig and methodology isn't essential for safe recreational 25' reef dives... and I will spot you this one: I personally don't think it is optimal for 25' reef dives.If someone wants to dive a 25 ft reef with the same diligence and preparation entailed in a 2000 ft penetration cave dive - so what. That's their right. I personally choose to take what I consider to be a minute risk increase and not do so.
