Hello - does anyone with food allergies have any experience they could share with me for my first trip to Cozumel. Been quite awhile since I’ve been out of country and remember when younger traveling to Spain I struggled greatly with conveying to them my dairy allergy(not intolerance - I swell up and if bad enough I struggle to breathe). I could tell them no milk and there might not be milk, but would be cheese or cream or some other dairy. The issue was obviously in my ability in their language to convey my needs. I’ve gotten a lot better at judging food now to avoid things that appear dairy but unfortunately my Spanish has only gotten worse. Curious if others find Cozumel easier to communicate dietary issues in English for items like dairy or any tips. In worse case anything I order that looks like potentially has dairy I just don’t eat and I’m stuck paying for another dish. Thanks in advance.
