Best way to help insure you are getting local is to buy from the fish house where the local boats dock or unload.Often they will have a restaurant attached or close by.It is so sad that the public gets so many consumer protections in other areas but the one that may be the most vital after medical gets little teeth in it's regulation.
 
Ok, so I've got Fishbusters as a great local market. Any other recommendations for seafood markets with raw seafood? I'm thinking anywhere south of Fort Myers and Fort Lauderdale. I don't want to fly in and try to eyeball fish markets that look like them might be good on the fly.

My mom really likes the Key West Pink Shrimp. Any other stuff - crustaceans or otherwise, that Florida's known for?
 
Eat responsibly please. Soon there won't be any seafood left to eat. We are over-fishing the ocean and no one seems to notice.
