So, today I finally got some tech gear. Didnt really try to go all Halcyon, but thats just how it worked out. This will probably be the first of many expensive trips to the dive shop, just after I explained to my wife how "cheap" recreational diving was because I owned all my own gear...

Weres the tanks and regs? After a while of visiting LDS your wife will soon give up on asking what you bought and will become a scuba divers wife. Now mine just looks and turns around mumbling somthing to her self.

All I can say is that you are a lost soul now.
When you get into BP/W gear and doubles there is always going to be something else you must have.
Your wife just doesn't need to know all that you are going to buy.
BP/W's are like candy, you can't just have one.

Enjoy, jim Breslin

Oh, BP/W and doubles . . . then the can light . . . then the reel, and the backup lights, and the Al40 and the deco reg and the second set of doubles so you don't waste the helium and then the boat . . . You're on the slippery slope now!

I need (and use) three sets of doubles to avoid wasting Helium :P

I started down this road several months ago, and everyone above is correct, there is no end in sight.

Some advice for the sake of your wallet and wife: the sooner you get over any aversion to buying used gear, the better.

There's a internet site that pretty much specializes exclusively in buying/selling used tech gear, I recommend checking it out.

There is no end to the madness once it's begun!!!!

I believe the DSS plates are better than Halcyon's.

And that the Oxycheq wings are better than Halcyon's.

And that SARTEK lights are better than Halcyon's.

And that ScubaPro gauges are better than Halcyon's.

But you got a good package deal.:eyebrow:
