it's still equivalent to 110cf down from theoretically 125, but at 300bar it is probably closer to 120cf, so you aren't losing all that much, about 10% less gas
 
It is for the specific dive site and at that site 10% is a lot. That will be up to 10 minutes of dive time.

The site is a drift dive with the exit point 400-500m from the entry point. I survey weedy seadragons, seahorses and pygmy pipehorses and I really need 80-100 minutes to find them all.

As I said, I can get the 300bar at the dive shop - it just isn't as convenient.

Although, lately, I have been doing the dive with a 12.2L + 5L pony. I switch to the pony when the 12.2L gets to around 70bar so that's giving me the 90+ minutes that I need. I also have redundancy if diving alone.
