Could be sweat or it could be a leak higher than the leg area (so its running into both boots).

A thin membrane suit in cold water will form condensation on the inside. Warm body, humidity, contact with cold surface of suit. This can run into the boots eventually.

Back to what I've said for a long time. Dry suits are not going to keep one 100% dry. Between sweat and condensation you get damp. Temperatures between the inside and outside of the suit will cause moisture to form. It may just be a lot or just a minuet amount but it will be there.

I resisted going to a "dry suit" for a long time because I seldom saw anyone who was dry when they took theirs off. I finally changed when my LDS had a special.

To be accurate they should be called "Drier Suits".

A wet drysuit is still orders of magnitude warmer than a perfect wetsuit/semi

I tend to be condensation or sweat damp after dives, and every once in a while, I'll turn my head in precisely the wrong way and get a tiny trickle to the collar which stops in about two tenths of a second (the time it takes to send a shiver all the way down your spine). ;)

Of course, my wet drysuit is better than they're dry wetsuits all winter long. :)

Very Cool Thanks for the help.

I will check for leaks but sounds like it was probably just sweat or condensation.

As far as the warmth goes - I felt the same amount of cold as I did in my wet suit - except that I was dry. I am going to try a thicker undergarment.

I'll see how is goes on the next couple of dives.

Make sure that your valves a snugged down well. As the neoprene matures the valves can get lose. If you press you vent a lot it may admit very small amounts of water. Depending on what you wear for garments leakage and/or sweat can move in odd ways and be found in the feet.

Is the wetness being found on the same side as your vent valve?>

Same for me in a northan diver 8 mil dry Feet always we not soaked. Very damp. I guess from what I been told , it’s the norm. However getting the dry suit off is hell let alone getting it on. Tailor made. It’s now 25 years old. Was left in the loft at Beer divers in Devon village of Beer lol. Test in the pool. No leaks. An hours dive at 6mts. Wet feet.

I had this problem once, too. It was sweat and synthetic socks. It felt really like a leak. But a drysuit leak feels in reality different (the water flows through you undergarment and it is stiching cold). No problems with cotton socks (even cotton is a bad undergarment). Maybe try whool socks?

So... Elephant in the room...

WHAT ON EARTH is it with Americans and their COTTON socks???
