Hey Erika you're stuck on 108, what's up with that?

Have not been updating it im up to 111

As a very new diver, I have no idea where most of those places are. How about including a state or country name when you mention a site that's not obvious to people who don't live nearby, or people who are not long-time members of the diving scene?

Before I was a diver, I snorkeled from a dive boat on the Great Barrier Reef in Australia. It was absolutely fabulous. I'd like to dive there now.

I got certified on Long Caye, Glover's Reef, Belize. The wall starts at 40 feet, so at 60 feet there's nothing but wall, above, below, and all around, and it is fabulous. It's a long trip to get there, but definitely a place I'd like to dive again.

And I got back from Cozumel a month ago. I will definitely go there again, barring disaster. There's another thread here on SB about Villa Aldora and Aldora Divers, and that sounds like a great outfit to dive with.

I'm a warm-water diver, and as a very new diver I'm interested in learning about which are the best places to dive.

All of these dive sites are local socal shore dives. Almost all of them are in the area between Laguna Beach and Ventura....this also means that they're all fairly cold water dive sites (generally low 50s at depth).

I see you live in Spokane (I'm from eastern Washington as well)....are you planning to dive locally? I know it's not warm water up there, but you have some very good divers in your back yard and it's definitely a good way to keep up on your skills between dive vacations.

Hey there Beach Crabs....Im not to familiar with all the different shore spots around lovely socal but Im up for whatever....malibu is kinda far for me but dosent mean I wouldnt venture out there everynow and then.

Anyone want to do a boat dive sometime?...I would REALLY like to check out some of the channel islands.

I was thinking of doing a boat dive sometime next January. Anacapa is pretty awesome.

Favorite PV dive spots are Cardiac, Flat Rock, and Marineland. Spots I want to check out: EVERYWHERE! My plan is to dive every reef and kelp bed in PV. I've dived La Bufadora. If you go there be VERY careful entering and exiting. That spot is one of the most challenging entry and exits in my book. The alternative is panga diving if you want to pay.

If anybody ever wants a buddy down here (SD) to dive the wrecks or kelp beds let me know. I'd also like to do the channel islands though, thats on my "to do" list for 09 as well as hitting the water whenever pactical.

I'm a huge fan of Deer Creek and G-City in Malibu, I also love diving Vet's at night. I've had nothing but great experiences at Deadman's in Laguna and wherever Robert took me right next to Deadman's a few weeks ago had some pretty spectacular structure.

I'm out of town for work the first 2 weeks of January but definitely down for a boat dive. I really dig Santa Cruz and have serious loyalty to the Peace but unfortunately they're our for maintenance all of January. They've got a 2AM departure bug trip on Saturday Feb. 7th. I'm down for that if anyone wants to do some night dives on one of the islands. Seeing how lots of Anacapa is a game reserve they might head out to Santa Cruz.

Hey Jim whenever you want to come up just say it. The Islands especially the northern ones are pretty unreal.
