I didn't get these for a couple of weeks, but am now - received a few in the last 2 days anyway.

Got it just a few minutes ago even before my system fully loaded the site.

Don- I know but this computer has been running without any significant problems for 5 years. Yes, there are the occasional memory lockups due to Bill Gates' "special features" in Windoze. However it isn't frequent enough to bother with.

TechAdmin- So I'm one of the 3.5% minority, eh! Good for me.

Yes, me too. I've had it several times today - maybe 10 or more.

Just got it now, going directly to the subscribed threads page.

I always found that Win95/Win98 would decay over time. As the machine locked up more often it would cause more filesystem corruption which would cause more lockups, until eventually you had to reinstall the O/S....

WinXP has actually been very solid as an O/S. The only stuff that seems to crash it are games, which isn't too surprising since they tend to play fast and loose with protection in order to get speed... Even when it crashes, though, it doesn't corrupt itself...

EDIT: oh, yeah, and I got a couple of these errors yesterday...

I get them now and then - when trying to send a PM, trying to access a subscribed forum, etc.
