Only problem is you had to be a midget to fit in the 2 seats.
And I am 6ft 2in and so of course I had to modify it.
Dont need to use 6-10 6v lead acid batteries anymore, so that saves weight and space,
chop, out came the center ballast and battery box, now it connects both cockpits.

First of all - be VERY careful about safety with these, a scooter switch stuck in the "on" position can be extremely dangerous, dragging a diver up or down uncontrolled. Carefully consider a very reliable switch mechanism, or some sort of redundant killswitch. Runaway scooters can and do bend...

Patent protection shouldn't be too difficult if you properly document it. Not here. With the Patent Office. Of course, proper documentation includes a section in your patent application called "current art," in which you document what similar inventions already exist and how yours is unique. That is the part that over-eager would-be inventors have trouble with.
