For my first open water class dive in Monterey, the water temp was 60 °F and I wore an IST brand 7mm wetsuit with hoods, gloves, booties. IST WS707

My suit is "wet" but it has gaskets at the ankles and wrists to keep water from flushing out. It helped a lot and I think it'll be plenty warm in cooler water.

We sat on the bottom doing our drills/skill tests and that was plenty toasty for me. Also, mobility/flexibility doesn't feel like an issue for me in this suit.

Temps 50-60F range I'm good with my 2mm hooded vest, 7MM farmer john bottoms and a 7mm long sleeve jacket with shorts also 2mm neoprene socks under 7mm boots.

Temps >60F I lose the vest and the socks.

Temps <50 DRY SUIT!
