Yeah, I would return it or get a significant rebate. Those painted tanks are considerably less desirable for use in the ocean, anyway.

Saltwater or Fresh? That makes a huge difference. Saltwater eats painted tanks for breakfast.
And those painted Faber tanks scratch and rust up here in freshwater too.... I've been quite "underwhelmed" with them.

Both, but more fresh water than salt. Also quite a bit of caves and wreck penetrations. My Fabers have held up well. Not so much other painted steel tanks I've owned.
