My buddy and I had a really easy time with a neck seal on one suit, and have had a lot of trouble since (probably done about four neck seals now).
We have a theory that perhaps excessive heat from the heat gun, while not causing any visible damage to the fabric, is "warping" the fabric such that we can't get it to lie flat on the installation rings anymore. We can usually make it work, but it's a pain...
Anyone else have a similar experience? Obviously we should avoid the use of excessive heat, but if we can damage the fabric with no immediate feedback (burning smell, appearance of melting, etc.), then we need to be even more careful about controlling the amount of heat we put into it.
Thanks,
Matt
