I went to the point of buying an orange and it never said out of stock
Deep 6 Signature Series Second Stage (Orange)
The black DGX model is not the same model as the deep 6 “scribble” model if that’s what you were implying. They may look similar but that’s it’s. Physically they are different units. Deep 6 confirmed this. As well as getting parts included with the deep 6 scribble set. None with dgxJL...
DGX has a complete write-up on the differences between the signature branded Deep 6 regs...and the black DGX ''sqiggle'' Deep 6 sets...
No complimentary orange dry-box...which is not the best way to store your regs anyway...a reg bag that breaths...is better than a water-tight dry box...and no complimentary service kits...
DGX has all the kits...so you have the option of DIY...or boxing up your regs and sending them in for service...

DB...Either way...the DGX Deep Six version...''scribble'' or not...is a better buy...with full support/as good performance...even without the orange dry-box...and complimentary service kits...which most purchasers are not qualified/experienced/tools and equipment on hand...to install anyway...
The Deep Six black/scribble version has fixed hose positioning...where the DGX version has a turret with an additional bottom turret LP hose fitting...ideal for doubles/sidemount...making the DGX version a ''that much better buy...
There are no complimentary service kits available with the Deep Six fixed scribble version...limited stock available...with no re-stocking...once they're gone...they're gone...they were a ''Black Friday'' add-on special...
Deep Six has had stock problems for a long time...DGX never has stock shortages...at least nothing that lasts longer than a few days...why wait months...it's only a scuba regulator...DGX/Scribble/Signature...red potato...white potato...brown potato...semantics...

Well you just kinda proved you have no idea what your talking about. First the deep six scribble DOES INCLUDE PARTS. I know because I own it and it came with both parts for the 1st stage and the 2nd as well. The deep 6 doesn’t come with a dry box. You can add one to your order if you’d like.
The scribble comes with full support directly through deep 6. Again they have parts kits on hand for them AND include them with your order. Dgx does not.
The scribble was added as a BF special but is NOW listed on the normal site as a standard item. You really think deep 6 is going to sell a regulator set that they can’t perform work on if something goes wrong? Knowing full and well deep six stands behind their products I don’t think they are going to suddenly screw over people who bought the scribbles. Not to mention the scribble set comes with the signature 2nd stage which is 100% fact better than the dgx version.
So why pay more money for an inferior system that doesn’t include parts and inferior 2nd stage and a 1st stage that isn’t a better performer. If all you care about is the turret then by all means there are even cheaper options out there than the dgx.
You can call all of them the “same” but that just shows you don’t know what your talking about. They aren’t the same. And the dgx version isn’t the better buy anyway you slice it.
