I just got off the phone with TSC.

Everything is a go for tomorrow. (the surface is not frozen over)
The only change is the time.

Originally we were to meet at 9am and do some briefing before the gates open at 10am.
This has been changed, the briefing will be done after 10am.
So, try to get there at 9:45 to make sure you are at the gate at 10am.

You must be at the gate at 10am.

Don't be late.

Reminders:
Bring hot water to warm hoods and gloves at surface interval.
Bring lunch and beverages.
Bring warm clothers for the surface interval. (hats, gloves, etc.)
Bring your insanity.

See you tomorrow.

don't forget the mask de-icer. if you don't have one you can use an old credit card, punch a hole and attach it with a snap to your left shoulder d-ring. scrape as needed.
:lol3:

Hey guys - I am sorry but I am now OUT for tomorrow... :(

Hopefully, I can make it in February.

Safe Diving!

-Matt

The truck is loaded and I am on the way! The weather looks OK if you do not mind a little rain or sleet. The water is "warm" and I am looking forward to the 50 foot viz.

Anyone who was at The Scuba Connection Nitrox/Dry suit course want to post pictures somewhere online, or e-mail them to me?

Thanks!

On 18 Jan 2004 I slogged up to Dutch Springs, braving a snowfall and several accidents on I-476 (PA NE EXT.)

Meeting me at Dutch in no particular order was Jonnythan, FrankF and Grunzster. Needless to say the other divers were excused due to the terrible traveling weather. We missed them anyway.

The water temp was between 36 and 39 degrees depending on whose computer you read. The sky was leaded and snowing with several inches on the ground. None of this stopped us and we went diving anyway. If you have stopped diving because of the weather, today proved that you can dive year round with an investment in a dry suit and the desire to get wet.

Actually, we all commented on how warm we stayed in the water and if a chill did set in it was after we left the water.

I may have had more fun diving in the past but today was enjoyable. First because of the new friends I made and secondly, I was doing quality dives at an emerging dive resort. Jonnythan, FrankF and Grunzster were excellent divers and well prepared for the elements.

A special thanks for The Scuba Connection for allowing us to share their heated tent and feeding us hot chicken soup. They are a class act!

I will be posting for the Feburary weekend soon. I am not sure of which weekend day yet but, if anyone wants to get wet again at Dutch Springs in Feburary I will be there.
