DSLR vs. PnS

This really is not an issue. There are good photos taken with PnS's. However, you simply do not have the same quality of lens, sensor and lack of shutter lag as a DSLR. Yes, DSLR rigs do cost more, but people would not UPGRADE from a PnS to a DSLR rig if they are worse. DSLR's offer significant advantages which can not be ignored.

At the end of the day, I think if you look at how many people are on either side of this discussion. It really is one sided, so why bother continuing. If a tree falls in the forrest and everyone ignores it, does it make a sound? Maybe we should just ignore it.
