It is best to hang your suit to dry, then roll it up and put it in a bag.

Free air around the seals will shorten the life of your seals. It lets the natural elastomers in the latex break down faster than in still air. Seals left in open air last about 2 years or so. If keeped sealed they last a lot longer.

This is just what I found through personal experience.
 
Perhaps these hangers are an innovation that appeared after such courses were written.

They are more of a solution to a problem that doesn't exist.
 
When in hanging mode, I cross the suspenders around the hanger to help reduce the stress on the shoulders / neck / zipper (back zip).
