Just curious, where do you get most of your drysuit holes, cuts, tears, and failures?

For me:
  • Recreational wreck diving: Lower leg first and fore arm second.
  • Photography: Lower leg and knees.
  • Sightseeing: I don’t recall ever poking any holes.
  • Commercial diving: Lower leg unless I am wearing Wellies (rubber boots), the inner thigh, and inner elbow from wrapping myself around down and hog lines or structure.
I have lost latex wrist seals but rarely. Probably because there is usually a bucket of soapy water around to dunk seals into before putting on or removing following the old deep sea/heavy gear tradition.

In the foot. Why? I have no idea.

These thoughts come to mind: Could it be that sand or gravel gets in the fin and wears a hole as you swim? Do you wear any kind of rock or over boot? Do leaks occur less when boat diving than off the shore?
