I ordered an aqua sport deluxe with neoprene socks and it came with something that looks more like turbo soles. I have 4E width feet and did not want to risk attached boots that might be too narrow. I tried it out for the first time at Dutch Springs on Saturday and everything went fairly well. My feet did get floaty at a couple of points, looking down at someone underneath me during the safety stop put me on the surface on the first dive. I think that was more of an experience issue though.

The DM suggested heavier fins, my current fins are basically neutral to slightly negative. Are the neoprene socks that I have designed to work on their own, or to be worn under rock boots? I don't want to have to buy 2 sets of fins, one for boots and one for the socks just to try it out. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Derek
