Freeflow?

Yes....On the first Day My SB Mk25/S600 Free flowed 6 minutes into the first dive and 11 minutes into the second Dive, the second freeflow drained 2000 PSI in about 3 minutes.

The Second day I borrowed Ron's(the Instructor) SHerwood Blizzard's Setup and and even after 40 minutes they were still fine. There were 2 other student's and 1 instructor with Mk25/S600 setups and they all had simular problems. Some froze up the second they hit the water?

Divers with Mk17's had no problems at all. Must be a Mk25 problem with fridgid water. Someone else suggested it was a problem with the second stage? I might post an inquirey in the equiptment forum.

Overall was a fun weekend and a bit more challenging than any other cert I've done so far.

Thats good. Too bad I couldn't make it down. The roads were to crappy for the drive down.

The MK25 is fine, the S600 as a 2nd stage is the culprit from anecdotal evidence. I dive the same temps with the MK25 but with the G250HP and it does not freeze or free flow. My coldest temp this year was 37 degrees and last year 36 degrees and still no problems.

DA Aquamaster has more info on this issue if you send him a PM.

Better to be safe, there were a few scooters Divers setting up on Sunday when I was doing my Rescue Simulation. No wonder I did'nt see any Black & Yellow Doubles.
