Hmm.. that actually produce a fair ammount of freshwater per hour..
Less than perfect, but definetly far better than drinking saltwater.. And the price aint all that horrible either.. Not even as much as my drysuit. If i had a lifeboat i know what Id put it it :p

not only is salt water bad for you it can also make you go crazy. i watched a show on it and how your mind will play tricks on you and make you do stupid things, almost like being narked but not being in control or aware.

Marrage does the same thing:wink:

I vote for eating your buddy:D

:no That doesn't resolve anything. You need water to metabolize protein.

But then you would get his share of water!

Has anybody mentioned that fish poop in there? :)

To answer the question, No I wouldn't drink the water. That's an awful lot of sodium intake and that would most likely dehydrate you very quick.

Read the accounts of the survivors of the torpedoed ship USS Indianappolis.
That should answer any questions one has about the consumption of sea water.

If I recall correctly – from a college physiology class many moons ago – sodium is only part of the problem with ingesting sea water. Another major bad-boy is the magnesium.

I’m sure someone smarter than me can enlighten us.

Let none of us get into the position where we even have to consider drinking sea water as an option!

Happy Holidays

I concur - no reason for me to try it. Those stories are something else.
