Here's mine...When I was on a dive where people were using Torpedos, I could swim faster.

Uhh.. Have you actually used one??? I have 2 in the shop (Torpedo 3500's), and they are alot of fun in open water. They scoot along pretty quickly for a $900 scooter. I have people that rent them all the time. Granted they are not a technical scooter at all, and they are somewhat nose heavy, but they are alot more affordable than a $4000 Gavin / SS / X / Salvo etc... The only comparable scooter in that price range ($1000) would be a used Techna or Mako.

Tell you what, put your money where your mouth is!

I'll use a torpedo 3500, and you can swim. 300ft linear distance. Loser gives up $1000.00 are you in? Oh yeah, and we'll compare gas usage at the end of the exercise.
