Hah, it looks like we're just around the corner from one another.
We have absolutely zero experience in metal finding, but the wife is drilling me another hole about being Indiana Jones'es.
The idea is two-fold:
1. Relatively shallow searches around common docking, swimming areas.
2. Deep (40-70m), all-metal searches around well-picked interesting wrecks but away, so invisible and inaccessible to divers without equipment.
We're MOD2 CCR certified and somewhat experienced (still learning though), so our stay time is generally permissive for such endavours.
And we're QUIET. So I'm less and less worried about special headphones and such. I can hear her BlackTip scooter from 30m away (and they're quiet as death), I'm sure I'll hear any squeaks and beeps Excalibur may grace me with.
You're around Waterford it looks like?
