I want to thank everyone for the help in finding what I needed to know. many of you are right about the BP/W but as a single parent I have to get as much out of the investment I have.
(wish I knew then ,what I know now)

I contacted Scubapro again and they did point me in the direction of this setup...
http://www.ultimateproductscorp.com/ it looks like it will do what I'm looking for and I can add a pony later if I so desire.

Having a quick look...they are not inexpensive. Somewhere deep in a closet I had some plastic double bands that mated to a standard plastic backplate? You might want to look at Aquaexplorers. They are in the deep recesses of the closet because in the end they were more of a pain. Again, this way quite early in the days before dedicated hardware came out.

Do they have a plastic center where the bolt would go, and 2 cam bands (one on either side)? I've got one from Dacor from many years back, I'd use it with singles and a cheater bar, God do i feel old,,,,

the Knighthawk works ok with doubles, it actually works great if you can score smaller steel clyinders like 67s or so. Kinda of tough to find and they are not cheap. My advice to you is just try out some different bands, Ive doubled up my knight hawk with standard bands, you will have to cut your own 3/8" SS all thread and get creative but it can be done.

For the record I use bpw for doubles and knighthawk for single cylinders

Yes. They are - plastic. Not old! :D They can be considered "classic".

LOL. Can you image the look on the face on the DIR diver that sees him with doubles mounted on a BC, AND with a pony attached. :rofl3: :rofl3: :rofl3:

I might do doubles on my BC just so I can experience it personally.
