Grand Cayman is a bigger version of Turks/Caicos with shore diving. Shopping downtown but there's cruise traffic almost daily - it's a small downtown. It's equally as pricey as Turks/Caicos. The diveops pick you up at most hotels on Seven Mile Beach - some by boat off the beach, others by free shuttle. Awesome wall diving off the North Wall. I personally think the diving off T/C is just a little better and healthier. Lots more big pelagics also - except for Stingrays and Turtles - that would be Cayman.
Curacao might be an option for both of you. It has famous shopping downtown - the colored buildings on all their ads are it. Nice beaches at some of the resorts and often a shore dive site also. Those will all have on-site dive operators as well. For escorted shore diving - if you're not solo - try the Dive Bus. They'll pick you up. You're wife can go along to snorkel at many of the sites for 1/2 price.

The diving is almost identical to what you find on Bonaire with easier entries - off sandy beaches mostly instead of ironshore. Most dive sites have some sort of combo diveop/snackbar/beach rental place on-site. You'd need a car to get to the best of them - mostly out west 20-30mins. drive. Playa Lagun, Varsenbaai, Porto Mari are some to look at - most have snorkeling and a good beach also. There's about 60 shore dive sites and some really good boat dives also. Watamula is a must do if you go.
Diving is different than what you've done, more small stuff, eels, invertebrates, turtles the occasional seahorse, lots of smaller reef fish, a few tarpon. There's a few wild dolphins seen in certain areas or the Dolphin Dive at Ocean Encounters ($200) A few Stingray also iirc. I have yet to see a shark off either Curacao or Bonaire. One slightly odd thing is that Ocean Encounters (the largest operator) and a few others won't allow you to solo dive even with a card - their island, their rules.
I often recommend the
Marriott Emerald Beach in Piscadera Bay. It's a nicer, newer Marriott, good beach and pool complex, several bars/restaurants, a small casino. Caribbean Sea Sports on-site for boat diving and they have a shore dive - not the best on Curacao. CSS also has other beach toys. PB is a resort area with just a few other properties nearby, a few restaurants and a beach bar with music walking distance away. About a 10min drive from either the airport or downtown Kralendijk. There's also some nightlife/clubs in Curacao - something I found lacking in Bonaire - I don't consider hanging out at resort bars nightlife.
