Hit an issue with my Prism2 where a tid bit of water got into the battery box and corroded a connector. Not too big of a deal, cleaned the seals and re-lubricated them with 100% o2 compatible lubricant.

Then started to inquire about the replacement part. The cable is potted into the plastic or bulkhead, and "isn't sold to end users." So it's a $500 part. I assume the electronics box sits at surface pressure / 0ATM so they want to test to make sure it won't flood. Fine, but grumble.

Does Revo limit parts availability and such to end users like this? They keep the batteries and divecan solenoid drivers/o2 cell ADC's in the loop right?

rEvo is modular and you can field replace everything on the unit but the lungs. If you travel with rEvo often, get the following spares:

- Battery box; must be unit-specific as there is a difference between RMS and non-RMS boxes
- 4PIN monitor
- 4PIN male/female connector (R636)
- O-rings

Drop the 4PIN cable into the bulkhead to have 3 cables total: one for the controller and two for the monitors. That way, if you loose a controller or a monitor you can dive the unit in manual mode with 2 monitors.

As rEvo headquarters are in Belgium and the Mares distribution center is Florida, you will have almost round-the-clock support. When you purchase from the FL distribution center, keep your address and card on file, save the phone number. Problem? Call Mares directly and get the part delivered to you overnight.

rEvo will not sell you the unit cover unless you are certified to dive rEvo.

Hybrid units will have solenoid in the exhale lung. The board is in the box, outside the loop.
