I know everyone is going to say I'm in denial of weight gain, but please hear me out first!

I am going on a dive trip in a few days and just happened to try on my 5mm Aqualung and low and behold I could barely get the darned thing zipped through the chest! When fully zipped it's squeezing my shoulders and chest almost unbearably tight. Since I'm 48 I doubt I had a growth spurt! Also the material of the suit seems more sticky, less stretchy, and made me itchy. I bought it just over a year ago and have worn it on three vacations.

As a reality fat check I tried on my core warmer and my 7mm, which still fit just fine!

Any theories other than unlikely topside weight gain?

Thanks!
Pamela

The only time exposure suits shrink is when you hang them in the closet over winter.
