Thanks for all the history here Sam. Love the knife and bolt technique. My friend used a similar technique to turn is backcountry ski pole into a tripod in order to save weight.
Will keep seeing what we can "reinvent" ;- )
You are doing great so far-- keep up the good work -- Your tripod is a great example of modern "repurposing"
