has to be one of the most ridiculous posts i have ever read here....

i hae a plus rated lp 120... with a 10% overfill i get almost the same air as twin 80's...

twins will have better balance and a more redundant and save valve setup.

there is nothing unsafe about doubles... and it does not somehow put you in a higher echelon.. that is horse crap....

as long as you are within your ndl's and are not exceeding safe ppo's there is nothing wrong with nitrox doubles.

I've done the exact dive you're talking about. Swam out from the beach with double 80s and got 3.75 hours of bottom time. Found about a dozen small teeth.

FYI, it's a long swim. It took us an hour and twenty minutes to get out there and was a tough swim back because the tide was changing.

BTW, I dove air. Nitrox is overkill for that dive.

Yep. In cave country, you can't go into the water with doubles unless you have the proper cave certification that includes doubles training.

Eh, I just love diving nitrox, always feel better after the dive than when diving air. If/when I do that dive, I will have some kind of watercraft to get to / from the shoreline. Kayak, jetski, something.
