What do you think the yield strength would roughly be?
I think there is too much variation in dimensions and materials to give out a number; that said I’ll start looking for heavy stuff to hang off of a clip.

Great point John.... Thanks. I'll be swapping out those zip ties today with either some paracord or some 200lb test braided downrigger line which I have plenty of.Nice, however I avoid zip ties for applications like that. Some old braided fishing line and a zillion knots works for me.
Do you have any insight into why long line clips are not used more often? They have at least one distinct disadvantage in that they do not open up enough to clip to larger diameter objects or a rope.
Bungee works wellI use a tuna clip on my anchor / mooring line marker strobe.
What's the utility of the long bungee tail over the typical position of the boltsnap? Is that in case the tuna clip won't fit the line?Bungee works well

Anyone know a shop that offers that course? I'm a PADI "card collector" and I don't have the PADI fart card. Does that cert count towards the PADI Master Diver rating?"you don't teach me what is standard you PADI fart".
It isn't a cert, but an alternate method for achieving propulsion for those who have difficulty with finning.Anyone know a shop that offers that course? I'm a PADI "card collector" and I don't have the PADI fart card. Does that cert count towards the PADI Master Diver rating?
Not only that, but that guy wasn't certified to teach and was teaching children as young as 4. I know that particular student.I had an experience a few years ago. I had gone down to the island to do a goof-around walk-in dive and a dive shop with about 10 students showed up for their class while I was under. I was coming out from my dive and was standing in waist deep water looking at the new strange crowd around me listening to some kind of pre-dive lecture when the instructor points at me and screams "HEY YOU! Take that friggin mask off your forehead. When you get certified then you can wear your mask on your forehead!" He obviously though I was one of his students.
I replied, "I was certified in 1990 and dive professionally. So I guess I'm good then" and walked out of the water.

Usually the panic sets in after they realized it fell of their head unnoticed when they had it perched there.PADI teaches you that mask on forehead is a sign of panic. Other agencies teach you to not panic.
